Successful Premiere at Real Estate North20. Mai 2010
On 2 and 3 June 2010 Hamburg hosts the debut trade show Real Estate North
Successful Premiere at Real Estate North
In cooperation with the Business Development Council (Wirtschaftsförderungsrat) of the Hamburg metropolitan region, Deutsche Messe AG will stage the international industry show for commercial real estate at Hamburg Airport’s Terminal Tango. The two-day event is accompanied by an extensive schedule of lectures and presentations. The HWF Hamburg Business Development Corporation is the organizer of the shared Hamburg booth featuring 17 corporate participants from all over Northern Germany. Senator Axel Gedaschko, Minister of Economic and Labour Affairs, will officially open the new trade show.
Many of the 17 partners at the Hamburg booth have been participants in Hamburg’s joint trade show appearances in previous years – some of them now heightening their profile considerably. The Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben Rostock is joined for the first time by its counterpart agency in Magdeburg. Other first-time participants are Engel & Völkers, Franki Grundbau, Valvo Immobilien, Hochtief Projektentwicklung and the Hamburg Port Authority.
"Real Estate North’s concept has garnered significant attention in the commercial property industry," according to Heinrich Lieser, CEO of the HWF Hamburg Business Development Corporation and HMG Hamburg Marketing GmbH. "The core of the potential exhibitors at Real Estate North represent Northern Germany’s top commercial property locations. In addition, the show intends to cover the Baltic states, as well as the UK, Ireland, Norway and the Benelux."
Real Estate North is built on four pillars that will characterize this new international industry event: exhibiting, knowledge transfer, project conception and networking. The exhibiton’s format is specifically tailored to the value creation chain of commercial real estate, i.e. construction, acquisition, maintenance and management. The exhibitors are companies that generate revenue by constructing, operating, marketing and financing properties for commercial use. For the Hamburg metropolitan region, the prime objective is to utilize the new trade show to strengthen its position as the logistics hub of the North. Domestic and international commercial properties for logistics are the main focus at Real Estate North.
Both days of the event will feature ‘First-Class Disussions’ in which experts share their experience with participants. More than 20 top-ranking industry specialists will spark in-depth discussion and contribute valuable insights. The show’s first evening presents a networking opportunity for exhibitors, real estate industry experts, policy-makers and media representatives.
Another feature unique to the Real Estate North show – and of particular interest to foreign visitors – are the ‘Site Inspections’ offered in the run-up to the event: Helicopter excursions to selected development projects are scheduled for May 31 and June 1. Among the total of six destinations on the itinerary are the Cuxhaven offshore park, the research airbase in Braunschweig, as well as the new heavy-load-capable Kiel Canal port in Osterrönfeld and the Westküste industrial park near Dithmarschen which offers excellent conditions for energy-intensive operations. Investors, facility managers and construction firms can thus begin to sound out business opportunities ahead of Real Estate North.
